All of the bird houses offered at The Greenman.com are handcrafted by Clyde Daugherty.
The front panels are carved by Clyde and cast in a waterproof polyresin. The box itself
is built of cedar for decay resistance. No sealing is required and they are safe outside
year round. The top slides open to clean out, (two screws hold the top down).
We have two styles of Bird Houses; Wren houses and standard bird houses. The Wren houses
approximately 8" tall and have smaller entrance holes and inside dimensions. The standard
bird houses are approximately 10 1/2" tall and are designed to accommodate (in addition
to Wrens) most other cavity nesting birds such as Chickadees, Nuthatches, Titmice, Downy
Woodpeckers, etc.
The Wren houses are specifically labeled "for Wrens Only". All of the others are our
standard bird houses.
